Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital provides a wide variety of in-house diagnostic testing with the most state of the art technology available. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of care possible, and our diagnostic tools help us do that.
Surgical Services: We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible. We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly, and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures.
Anesthesia: Procedures done on dogs and cats are challenging for a variety of reasons, one being that they often don’t want to be still while doctors and staff are trying to help the animal. They also have a level of stress that comes from being in an unfamiliar environment. Because of this, the use of anesthesia is a beneficial way to give pets the care they need.
Internal medicine consults: Internal Medicine is a field of study that is specific to an animal’s inner body systems. We look at the function of various areas of your pet’s inside parts through non-invasive means, giving our doctors a clearer picture of your pet’s health.
Radiology Services: Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool that we use to look inside the body in an entirely non-invasive way. X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs. In other words, the use of radiology gives us a view of the internal organs in your pet’s body that we otherwise could not see. It is a valuable diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illness.
Electrocardiography Services: Heart disease is quite common in pets, so having the ability to monitor it is becoming more necessary. For this reason, we are proud to be able to offer electrocardiograms (ECG or EKG) to our patients. It is a very non-invasive test since we only have to place clips on certain locations on a pet’s body, yet we can gain so much information from it.
Dentistry: Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
Laboratory: We are very proud of our laboratory. We are able to perform many diagnostic tests quickly and efficiently in it. We can do many simple tests but are also able to offer some more complex ones, too! We are able to run heartworm tests, leukemia and FIV tests, and full blood work for those who are interested in it. There are also many other tests we offer our patients.
Permanent identification: Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It’s a tragedy that happens all too often. But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet’s safety and retrieval should they ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your pet’s fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure, and is completely safe. This microchip is registered with your pet’s vital information, and can be scanned by any veterinarian or animal shelter so that they can return your pet directly to you.
Pharmacy: We offer a fully stocked pharmacy to fill your pet’s prescription needs. Having an on-site pharmacy provides you with a more convenient way to get your pet’s medication. We hope that this will save you time and ultimately enhance your experience with us.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: Protecting your pets from parasites like fleas is very important to their overall health. In addition to causing health issues, fleas can also be transmitted to your family. We are proud to offer individualized flea programs to help protect your pet. These parasite prevention programs are tailored to your pet’s needs and provide them with the protection they deserve.
Dietary Counseling: Obesity is a common problem among pets, as it can be easy to over-feed a pet that knows how to beg. But being overweight is a serious problem for animals, and can cause real health problems as they get older. With proper diet and exercise, all pets should be able to meet their dietary needs and be within a healthy weight range.
Behavioral Counseling: Pets with behavioral problems can often pose a frustrating challenge for pet owners. However, through behavioral consultations we can correct unwanted behaviors and enrich both your life and your pet’s life.
Boarding: We practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for patients staying with us. We know that it takes a great deal of trust to leave your pet with someone else, so we want to assure you that we are professional, highly trained, and most of all, we love pets.
